The playoff bound Wenatchee Applesox flexed their offensive muscle on Monday taking down the ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ Falcons 13-3 in the first game of the three-game series.

The Sox tallied three runs in the top of the first inning off Falcons starter Ethan Coronel and they didn’t stop scoring. They scored four more in the top of the third, then added three more in the fourth to take a 10-run lead.

In the bottom of the fourth, the Falcons finally broke through with a run. They loaded the bases with two-outs before newcomer Lucas DeVeer walked to force home Kamryn Link who walked earlier in the inning. As a matter of fact, the Falcons didn’t get a hit in the inning, four batters walked which included DeVeerÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ RBI.

Then in the sixth the Falcons again showed patience at the plate, loading the bases courtesy of a Josiah Mackey and a pair of walks. Peyton Bittle was the third walk of the inning and forced home Mackey to record an RBI. Then in the eighth Justin Tsukada singled to score Max Bledy but by that time the game was too far out of reach.

The Falcons offence was powered by 12 walks, two hit batters and just five singles.

Meanwhile the Applesox offence scored 13 runs on an eye-popping 22 hits to snap their four game losing streak to the Falcons.

The Falcons (10-15) conclude their West Coast League season tonight against Wenatchee at 6:30 p.m. at Elks Stadium.
