ѻýѻý best-known aviation company will have a new boss soon.

Gregg Evjen will take over as president of KF Aerospace on Sept. 1.

He’ll replace Tracy Medve, who will continue as chief executive officer of KF Capital Ltd., the umbrella organization overseeing KF Aerospace and related divisions.

Evjen joined the company in 1989. He started as a junior engineer after completing an aeronautical engineering program in Alberta. He has held progressively senior roles with the company, including manager and director of engineering, vice president of maintenance and engineering, and chief operating officer from 2021 to 2025.

According to the company, he has led hundreds of engineering projects, including the Convair CV5800 stretch program, multiple freighter conversions, and modification programs for nearly every major aircraft type in KFѻý operations. He is said to be widely respected and sought after in the industry and by Transport Canada and the Department of National Defence.

“Greggѻý decades of operational expertise, proven leadership, and commitment to KF make him exceptionally well-suited to lead KF Aerospace into the future,” said Medve in a news release.

KF Aerospace started as ѻý Flightcraft 55 years ago under founder Barry Lapointe. The firm specializes in aircraft maintenance and modifications, military aircrew training, passenger charter services, cargo flight operations, and leasing. It has about 1,200 employees, mostly in ѻý, Vancouver and Hamilton.
